Over the course of 5 months, photographers who choose to be apart of the Elena S Blair Photography Mastermind will transform their business and themselves. Although every experience is different we have seen so many talented photographers grow in ways that sometimes even surprise themselves. In this blog series we will highlight Alumni who have completed the photography mastermind and allow them to discuss what their personal experience was like. Keep reading to see the thoughts of today’s Alumni, Jaime Bugbee.

What cohort were you a part of? I was apart of Level 1 – Cohort 3.

What your favorite part of the mastermind?

The women I met and still have wonderful friendships with. The empowerment I felt when I was in the program and when I am feeling lost sometimes when I am off on my own now, I can reach out to them and they are incredibly supportive. I felt like I got plugged into a “source” when I was in the MM. You really do need a tribe when you are a solo entrepreneur. You can feel very lost but these groups are a beacon of light.

What are some changes or improvements that you have seen in your business since joining and completing the mastermind?

Knowing my worth, being able to stick to what I am called for vs what society says I need or have to be. I tried things out of my comfort zone and I hit a huge goal in November of 2022. My goal is 10k a month and I made about 9k in November, now I just need to do that 11 more times. 🙂 I saw it, it was in my hands and now I know I can do it.

What are some changes or improvements that you have seen in your habits, lifestyle, confidence, and spirituality that you have seen in yourself since joining and completing the mastermind?

Finding more joy in the journey and my work, getting WAY out of my comfort zone. Outsourcing (that is a big one, even someone to just help with dog walks) and knowing when to stop working. I used to work at night after a long day in health care, being home alone with kids at night while my husband works swing shift. I let myself take care of myself and know I can do better work when I am rested. I only work on days that I haven’t worked my day job and pour better hours into mu business when I am rested.

How would you describe the retreat experience.

It’s plugging into a source that is full of empowerment, love, kindness, and support. I also take away something valuable each time. Something for business and something for being creative.

What would you tell someone to help them take the leap and join the Mastermind? What words of encouragement do you think they need?

Here is what I told myself: I spent money going to college to learn what I do now. Why would I not invest in myself for this if this is truly what makes me happy. Having people to lean on, has been why I likely have not quit.

What are you working on right now? What is something that you are excited about in your life and biz?

Going full time by nailing down my workflow/time management, SEO, networking and editing.

Anything else you want to share?

I have highly recommended your mastermind!
